founder & principal designer

Stephanie Perez O’Boyle was born and raised in Westchester, NY, as a first-generation American whose family comes from Colombia. She’s a self-taught interior designer known for creating layered, lived-in homes that tell a family’s story.

She graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Journalism along with minors in Business and Communication. Before founding her studio, Stephanie spent ten years in New York City working in Public Relations at MTV, VH1 and several digital media brands. She oversaw high-profile press campaigns for programs such as the Video Music Awards, TRL and MTV News.

Her PR background shaped her approach to interior design. Managing large production teams, navigating high-pressure environments and meeting strict deadlines prepared her to oversee complex renovations, timelines and budgets. Most importantly, her years in communications taught her the power of storytelling and the importance of shaping a narrative. As a designer, she now brings that same skill to her clients’ most meaningful spaces.

Stephanie started her eponymous design firm in 2021. In 2024, House Beautiful named her a coveted Next Wave designer, and her work has been internationally recognized in World of Interiors, Country Living, Westchester Magazine, House Beautiful and more. She lives in Westchester with her husband, also a Lehigh graduate, and their family.
